Web years are like dog years
Folio Show - Day 2 2008 - Report from Colm O'Callaghan
The magazine gurus are learning to adapt fast and the latest nugget from the Folio Show was the reminder that a year in the print medium equates to a year in real life. But on the web, one year is really like five in the real world.
Think of the web like a dog, growing and developing at a much greater speed than its happy owner.
The upshot is that a web redesign every three years is really only the equivalent to redesigning a magazine after 15 years.
Ouch - that's alot of redesigning to stay looking current.
